The Passing of Retired BC Vince Bondy

BONDY, VINCENT C. died peacefully on April 10, 2010 at the age of 89 years.  He retired as Battalion Chief for the City of Dearborn Fire Department in June of 1985. Vince felt serving his community as a firefighter to be an honor and a privilege; he considered himself fortunate to be associated with the brave men who served with him.

 He leaves behind a proud and loving family; his wife Elizabeth and her children; Vincent’s sister Luise Coles (nee Bondy) of Lincoln Park and her children Lynne Coles and Walter Coles both of Lincoln Park; Vincent’s two daughters: Cecelia M. Hanchon (nee Bondy) of Ann Arbor, Michigan; son-in-law Thomas M. Hanchon, their sonsVincent M. Hanchon, Stephen M. Hanchon, Timothy J. Hanchon and his daughter Cynthia A. Warner (nee Bondy) and son-in-law Allen G. Warner of The Villages, Florida. 

Vince has three great grandsons and one great granddaughter.

As per his wishes he has been cremated and his ashes will be interred shortly; a memorial will be planned in the future.  In lieu of flowers, if desired, please send donations in his name to the Alzheimer Association.

 A Memorial service will be held sometime in the future.  Please check back for further details when they become available.
